Selena also took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes snaps with her "Only Murders" co-stars, Steve Martin and Martin Short, celebrating “5 years and counting” with “these knuckle heads” on the hit Hulu series. But while the heartfelt tribute melted fans’ hearts, it was the coat that truly stole the spotlight.

This trench is Frances Valentine’s first-ever faux leather outerwear piece, and if Selena’s wearing it, it’s only a matter of time before it’s flying off the shelves. With its breathable material and eye-catching color, the Chelsea Coat is the ideal transitional piece for both spring and fall.

The true-crime comedy "Only Murders in the Building" has gone from cult favorite to full-blown phenomenon.

The trio credits the magic to more than just the writing. “Well, I think that the script and the stories are very good, and that the premise is unusual,” Steve told Numero. “What we didn’t know was that the chemistry between the three of us, that none of us can even try to explain, would show through the screen. We’re just having fun. We love each other. We’re all professionals and we give it our all.”

Martin, never one to keep things too sentimental, joked, “No, I don’t agree.”

“You don’t agree with any of the things I’ve just said, Martin?” Steve quipped.

“No, I haven’t listened to nor remembered anything you’ve just said, there’s a difference,” Martin replied with a laugh.

This season, the "Only Murders" crew adds another twist as their podcast is being turned into a movie within the show. And yes, that means actors will be playing actors playing characters. So, how do the stars feel about the casting of their in-show alter egos?

“I was thrilled,” said Selena. “Honestly, I was so excited to work with everyone on set. I think Eva Longoria did a fantastic job. She is hilarious.”

Steve, meanwhile, is happy to be fictionalized by comedy legend Eugene Levy.

“We’ve worked together several times, including on 'Father of the Bride' and 'Cheaper by the Dozen 2,' so I’ve known him for a long time," he said. "He is as funny on screen as he is in real life. He also stands as the best-looking of all of us in recent years. He has established himself as the Marcello or Alain Delon of our generation.”

Martin was equally pleased with his fictional stand-in.

“I was a big fan of Zach Galifianakis before I met him," Martin said. "In Season 5, he plays the role of the actor who really doesn’t want to make the film adaptation of the podcast. Money is the only reason why he does it. He doesn’t like the character he has to play, but he pulls it off brilliantly.”

Steve added, “Actually, if you really think about it, each one of the actors who play us in the series does so for a different reason. Eugene Levy loves me. Zach Galifianakis doesn’t care and lives his life. Everyone plays the character they have to play in their own way.”

Growth, Humor, And The Art Of Not Taking Yourself Too Seriously

Over the seasons, all three stars have seen their characters evolve, some more chaotically than others.

“I don’t think I’ve personally experienced things in terms of challenges,” Selena explained. “I feel like I’ve been able to gradually become Mabel and to grow with her. She is a part of me now. I’m just enjoying the process.”

Steve shared a more technical hurdle. “For me, my biggest challenge was when I was given a scene that was supposed to be really funny and it was up to me to make it funny. In those cases, you want to make sure of these things: ‘What’s the right balance? Is it too big? Is it too small?’ Marty has one gear – fast and strong. I have several.”

Cue Martin with the punchline, “And above all, talking about that, what the audience does when Steve is on screen is to press ‘fast forward.’ They want to get back to the energy.”

Catch Selena, Steve, and Marty when "Only Murders in the Building" returns for Season 5.
